Is your a small business or non-profit looking to enhance your cybersecurity measures? Old Dominion University (ODU) is calling on micro and small businesses in the Hampton Roads area to participate in the COVA CCI Cybersecurity Internship Clinic for the fall 2024 academic semester. This innovative program kicks off at the end of August and offers a unique opportunity for businesses to bolster their cybersecurity defenses while providing valuable learning experiences for students.

What is the Cybersecurity Internship Clinic?

The ODU/ COVA CCI Cybersecurity Internship Clinic is designed to provide pro bono Cybersecurity-as-a-Service to small businesses, non-profits, and local government agencies. Selected students from ODU—and eventually from other COVA CCI partner community colleges and universities—will assess participating organizations’ cybersecurity preparedness and risk posture. This initiative not only aims to enhance cybersecurity awareness but also offers hands-on experience for students, preparing the next generation of cybersecurity experts.

Why Should You Participate?

1. Free Cybersecurity Services: Benefit from professional cybersecurity assessments and services at no cost.

2. Student Expertise: Leverage the skills and knowledge of cybersecurity students trained to identify and mitigate cyber risks.

3. Enhanced Cyber Awareness: Gain critical insights into your organization’s cybersecurity posture and learn how to improve it.
