NORFOLK — 757 Startup Studios is expanding as it attracts more startups to a downtown Norfolk innovation hub.
The nonprofit incubator released the names of 22 new companies joining the nontraditional coworking space that serves early-stage entrepreneurs.
The new businesses range from a cryptocurrency gaming company to a skin care boutique and clothier to a software platform for the automotive retail industry.
On Nov. 29, the new businesses will join eight returning companies within the Assembly building. All the startups have access to a variety of resources including six months free rent, tailored programming, mentorship, and assistance from support partners.
To date, 42 new high-paying jobs have been created by companies within 757 Startup Studios and spawned millions of dollars in investment capital and revenue, according to the program.
Hunter Walsh, 757 Startup Studios program manager, said in a news release that the studios look forward to building on the momentum with the new wave of founders.
“In six months time, we have welcomed over 2,000 people into our space, facilitated 62 programs, and continue reducing barriers and obstacles for early-stage founders around the region,” Walsh said.
