Hampton Roads is once again taking center stage in the world of innovation, as VroomBrick, a standout from our region, has been selected for the prestigious Batch 18 of Lighthouse Labs’ accelerator program. This recognition underscores the immense potential of Hampton Roads startups and the power of collaboration in nurturing homegrown innovation.

Lighthouse Labs, based in Richmond, Virginia, has become a beacon of entrepreneurial growth and transformation. Since its inception, it has supported over 180 startups through its intensive 11-week accelerator program. With a mission to help founders scale their businesses and secure investments, the program brings together an ecosystem of industry leaders, mentors, and investors to propel startups to the next level.

This year’s cohort was chosen from nearly 100 applicants, and among the nine companies selected, VroomBrick proudly represents Hampton Roads. Founded by Leland Remias and CXO Adam Becerra, VroomBrick is revolutionizing digital marketplaces by providing an efficient platform for connecting buyers and sellers within local communities. Their innovative approach has already earned them recognition as a REaKTOR portfolio company and a proud alumni of Start Peninsula, Hampton Roads’ longest-running pitch competition and 757 Startup Studios.

The journey of VroomBrick reflects the vibrancy of the Hampton Roads startup ecosystem. Through programs like REaKTOR, 757 Startup Studios, and Start Peninsula, local entrepreneurs gain access to resources, mentorship, and connections that enable them to thrive. VroomBrick’s selection into Lighthouse Labs is a testament to the power of regional collaboration and the support network that Innovate Hampton Roads continues to foster.

“This milestone is not just about VroomBrick’s achievement but about the growing recognition of Hampton Roads as a cradle of innovation,” said Tim Ryan, Innovate Hampton Roads’ Executive Director. “When we unite as a region to support startups, we amplify the potential for groundbreaking companies to emerge.”

As VroomBrick embarks on this exciting new chapter, the spotlight is firmly on Hampton Roads and its ability to nurture companies that capture national attention. The collaboration between Innovate Hampton Roads, REaKTOR, and Lighthouse Labs exemplifies what’s possible when innovation, mentorship, and community come together.

We’ll be cheering for VroomBrick as they take on the 11-week accelerator program, and we can’t wait to see how their success will inspire the next wave of entrepreneurs in Hampton Roads.
