In an exhilarating display of entrepreneurial talent, Start Peninsula 2024 has unveiled its latest set of finalists, marking a significant milestone in the regional innovation landscape. On May 16th, following a highly competitive online Micro Pitch competition, three groundbreaking ventures—Growables, LOCKGREEN, and VIX—emerged victorious, each poised to revolutionize their respective industries.
Growables is transforming how we care for houseplants, making the process simple and enjoyable. With a comprehensive kit with soil, fertilizer, and detailed instructions, Growables ensures plant enthusiasts can say goodbye to yellowing, withering houseplants.
LOCKGREEN offers a solution to a pressing need for cannabis consumers: secure and smell-proof stash boxes with built-in combination locks. These innovative containers provide peace of mind by keeping cannabis safe from children, pets, and other unwanted guests while also helping to prevent open container law violations during travel.
VIX stands at the intersection of fitness and technology with its AI Personal Trainer app. Utilizing a phone’s camera, VIX tracks and improves users’ workout forms, creating personalized routines and offering real-time feedback. By gamifying fitness with competition, rewards, and personal key performance indicators, VIX aims to motivate users and maintain their accountability.
These ventures are not just competing for recognition but also for a $5,000 prize to boost their business growth and access invaluable local resources. Their journey continues at the Championship Pitch event on November 6th, a highlight in the entrepreneurial calendar where innovative ideas and dreams converge.
