Ceremony, in partnership with Vessel Craft Coffee, launches a non-alcohol bar pop-up catering to individuals who want to socialize while sober.
Ceremony, whose dry bottle shop features non-alcoholic beer, wine, mocktails, functional drinks, and spirits, has leveraged its relationships with alcohol-free brands to bring a bar format to the community.
Ceremony and Vessel Craft Coffee provide an elevated gathering space for groups to unite, celebrate, and connect in an alcohol-free environment. This is inclusive of people abstaining from alcohol for any reason or those just making more health-conscious decisions. A recent guest remarked that they enjoyed a night out for the first time in 30 years and appreciated having an elevated meal and drinks at the popup.
Guests can expect a relaxing night with friends, good food, and upscale drinks, including a weekly rotating craft cocktail menu, without an alcohol-fueled crowd on Friday and Saturday 5-10 and Sunday 9-3.
Chef Eric Jackson is also popping up with a modern southern food program that pays homage to his grandad’s cafe in Troy, Alabama— Glasco’s. Expect vegetable-forward small dinner plates with rotating protein options and shareable boards.
Christina Kimbrough, a Hampton Road’s sober advocate and owner of Free Life LLC, hosts non-alcohol events for people to come together, socialize, and find support. Christina utilizes the space for Friday night get-together with friends who are sober and sober curious and who want the whole experience of friends and drinks without the buzz. Christina‘s upcoming event, Sober Storytelling, invites individuals to come in and share their experience living sober.
The pop-up, which is scheduled to run until New Year’s Eve, is testing the concept’s feasibility, and if successful, it plans to establish a long-term non-alcoholic bar presence in both the Hampton Roads and Richmond markets.
The Ceremony Dry Bar Pop-Up welcomes visitors from 5-10 pm Friday and Saturday and Sunday for brunch from 9 am – 3 pm, inside Vessel Craft Coffee + Kitchen at 1229 W Olney Rd, Norfolk, VA 23507.
