757 Startup Studios and Assembly are excited to announce the upcoming 757 Build Weekend ᴮᴱᵀᴬ, taking place from August 4th to 6th, 2023 at the 757 Startup Studios on the Assembly Campus in Norfolk, VA. This hackathon-style event is more than just a competition; it’s a platform for ideas to come alive.
Students, entrepreneurs, and professionals are all invited to roll up their sleeves, harness their creativity, and immerse themselves in the world of innovation over a dynamic weekend. With a mixture of technical and non-technical talent, the event is designed to simulate the entrepreneurial journey – from initial brainstorming to the final pitch.
You are invited to build anything, no matter how groundbreaking or wacky, your ideas may be. Whether you’re an AI enthusiast or a coding novice, you’ll have the chance to learn, experiment, and collaborate. Every idea will be assessed by our panel of experts and investors who are eager to see your creative genius in action.
The schedule is packed with workshops (Design, Low Code/No Code, Pitching, LLMs and AI, Coding an MVP) and ample build time. The Assembly campus will be open from 8am-11pm during the build. The event will culminate in a final pitch session, followed by an award ceremony to add a touch of adrenaline.
But it’s not just about the event itself. After application acceptance, participants can get a head start on team formation and idea brainstorming via our Discord and Google Spreadsheet. Remember, teams are capped at six members, and the registration deadline is August 1st.
To ensure an even playing field, all projects must be new, and the use of past projects or pre-existing code is prohibited. But don’t worry, no-code tools are encouraged, make sure to deliver more than slides or interactive wireframes!
We also host a pre-event mixer for all accepted participants. It’s a fantastic chance to network, meet potential teammates, and gear up for the excitement to come.
