Finalists will get a chance to introduce their company to the Midemlab jury at the upcoming Midem Digital Edition, Nov. 16-19. The jury, which is made up of decision-makers, international media and investors, will nominate four winners, one per category, who will benefit from free PR advice, free digital content strategy advice, and free legal advice from Jeff Liebenson provided by various partners of Midem.
They will also receive a free mentoring session from TheLynk, a private meeting with investment firms Panache Ventures and Raised in Space, a one year subscription to Music Ally’s professional music bulletin, direct access to the final interview step with accelerator programme Zú, access to incubator 2112’s community, international media coverage, one free Midem 2022 registration, and more.
This year’s winners will be announced live on the Midem Digital Platform on Tuesday, Nov. 16, 6 p.m. CET.
Previous Midemlab winners include Soundcloud, The Echo Nest (acquired by Spotify), Next Big Sound (acquired by Pandora), BandPage (acquired by YouTube) and Asaii (acquired by Apple). 2020 winners Audoo raised $6.9million soon after the competition, while Super Hi-Fi closed a deal with SONOS.
Midem Director Alexandre Deniot commented, “Midemlab is always the place to discover fantastic music tech startups with the potential to disrupt, improve and enhance our industry. This year is no exception. We received 203 incredible submissions from 34 countries, testament to the fact that the dynamism of entrepreneurship in the music industry is still intact and in great shape, despite the difficult time we’ve been through these past 18 months.
“I’m excited to showcase the finalists to the music community during Midem Digital Edition and to find out who the lucky and deserving winners will be then.”
