| NEWPORT NEWS, VA – The Virginia Peninsula Chamber of Commerce, in collaboration with the Military Family Support Center Employment Programs, will present the 2021 Military / Business Job Fair on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 from 9:00 AM until 12:00 PM (noon) at the Newport News Marriott at City Center.
The Peninsula Chamber, and its Military Affairs Council, hosts this event annually with an average of 80 companies from around the mid-Atlantic participating. The Hampton Roads Workforce Council is this year’s Presenting Sponsor.
This year’s event will be opened to the public and will be focused on connecting employers, offering real jobs, with potential employees. This Job Fair, in the past, has had special time dedicated to job seekers with military connections, including transitioning service members and their families, retired military members, reservists and DOD civilians. These groups represent a significant source of potential employees with unique skills and valuable training, ready to step into new careers. Our focus on our military veterans has not changed, but this year the entire time will be open to all serious job seekers in an effort to get people back to productive, well-paying jobs, following the pandemic.
This event is FREE to potential employees and job seekers, who are expected to attend in business attire with properly prepared resumes. Walk-ins are welcome; however, we suggest job seekers register online at bit.ly/VPCC2021JobFair-1013 to save time during check-in.
Exhibits and sponsorships are available for purchase at bit.ly/VPCC2021JobFair. Exhibitors will be offered a reduced rate for participation this year. If you are not looking to hire but would like to support those who have served or continue to serve, you can sponsor the 2021 Job Fair. Sponsorship packages are affordable and made to fit your budget.
