Start Peninsula Alumni Night to Feature Past Winners
Start Peninsula is pleased to announce that it will host past winners during its first Alumni Night event on Wednesday, June 9 at 6 p.m. The virtual event will include a panel of select past winners as they discuss their entrepreneurial journeys and experiences at Start Peninsula. Registration is required, but this event is free.
Since its inception, Start Peninsula has over 27 final event winners and more than 100 participants. Alumni companies have raised more than $17M million in capital, landed a deal with Mark Cuban on ABC’s Shark Tank and been invited to the White House for an appearance.
Participants in the Alumni Night event will include, but is not limited to, the following companies:
- Handheld Handyman,
- Hottrok,
- Instant Teams,
- M Wave Coffee Brewer,
- Occasion Genius and
- Senior Runs.
The next Start Peninsula Micro Pitch Competition will be held on Wednesday, September 15th. Early-stage businesses are invited to apply to participate. The Final Micro Pitch Competition will be held on October 6th. The Final Event will be on November 3rd.
Start Peninsula 2021 is hosted by the City of Newport News, in partnership with the Cities of Hampton, Williamsburg and Poquoson and the Counties of James City and York.
