Military nonprofit organization, Troopster®, will hold a week long virtual run fundraiser, The ‘Murican 5 Mile’, September 17-23rd to fundraise for deployed Air Force service members overseas.
The event will be held in celebration of the Air Force’s 73rd birthday, September 18. Participants can join from anywhere in the world and the five mile goal can be walked, ran or jogged at any time and from any location between September 17 through September 23rd. The virtual run can be completed individually or in teams. Families and teams are welcome.
Proceeds from the event will help send donation care packages to deployed Air Force members who are currently deployed across countries such as Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan and Qatar.
There are four levels of registration ranging from $10 to $125. Participants can register with a $10 donation or receive “runner perks”for each registration level. Level perks include shirts, medals and runner boxes. Prizes and medals will be awarded at the conclusion of the run for various challenges, such as ‘first to 5 miles’.
